A nationally recognized Producer, Presenter and Entertainment Executive, Scott Shiller has helmed some of this nation’s most prestigious arts organizations, most recently serving as Vice President for Artistic Planning for the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust and President & CEO for the Denver Center for the Performing Arts. From Chicago to Miami and beyond, Shiller’s approach to pairing artistic excellence with business fundamentals has been credited for growing broad-based community support as well as substantial increases in earned and contributed revues. Leading established organizations and start-ups, Shiller has supervised programming, operating, sales, marketing, fundraising and administrative functions. Shiller has presented and produced thousands of events spanning the Concert, Comedy, Television, Dance, Jazz, Broadway and Regional Theater genres.

A nationally recognized Producer, Presenter and Entertainment Executive, Scott Shiller was recently named to a newly created leadership position at the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust. As Vice President of Artistic Planning, Shiller will work to provide strategic leadership and serve as provost for the artistic activities of the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust where 4,000 performances a year attract over 2 million patrons in one of the nation’s most vibrant Cultural Districts. Working collaboratively with a team of 10 programming professionals, Shiller will ensure the ongoing diversity of artistic vision across theater, dance, music and festival programs in over 20 venues throughout the Cultural District. Shiller will also partner with the team to foster and accelerate the robust offerings of the Cultural Trust’s arts education, community engagement, visual arts and film programs.

Additionally, Shiller will be responsible for coordinating and creating synergistic opportunities for the ever growing artistic activities of the Cultural District, its resident companies and artistic partners, including: Arcade Comedy Theater, Bricolage Production Company, PICT Classic Theatre, Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera, Pittsburgh Filmmakers, Pittsburgh International Children’s Theater, Pittsburgh Jazz Orchestra, Pittsburgh Musical Theater, Pittsburgh Opera, Pittsburgh Playwrights Theatre Company, Pittsburgh Public Theater, Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, PNC Pops, and The Phoenix- A Theatre Company.

Prior to joining the Cultural Trust, Shiller served as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Denver Center for the Performing Arts. As President & CEO, Shiller had overall responsibility for the DCPA’s programmatic, operating, revenue, marketing, development and administrative functions. During Shiller’s year at the DCPA, he led the team to exceed projected Broadway revenue by $4 million, raised paid capacity to 82.6% and increased fundraising by $2 million in 14 months. He also dramatically expanded programming for diverse audiences, arts education, and produced an immersive theater production for Millennials entitled Sweet & Lucky, which sold out both its initial and extended run.

Shiller spent the previous 9 years at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County where he served as Executive Vice President from 2007 to 2015. With direct oversight of programming and marketing initiatives, Shiller’s first season at the Center resulted in a $3.3 million turnaround, more than 100 sold-out performances, and a 76% increase in attendance. Shiller eliminated the Center’s accumulated deficit and created reserve funds for both Arts Education and Capital Improvement.
In addition to improvement in financial performance and attendance figures wherever he travels, Shiller is also dedicated to the creation of new work, presenting and commissioning dozens of World Premier Plays and Musicals in Denver and Miami. Scott has worked extensively to broaden opportunities for students and to create exciting programming offerings to build diverse audiences.

A former adjunct professor at DePaul University and a lecturer at the University of Miami, Shiller has presented and produced engagements in New York, Boston, DC, Chicago, Miami, Denver, San Francisco, LA, and Philadelphia.

In 2015 Shiller received the prestigious George Abbott Award for Outstanding Theatrical Achievement, has received the Impact Award from the South Florida Press Association and was named to the 40 Under 40 list by South Florida Business Journal.

He has presented thousands of events spanning the Concert, Comedy, Television, Dance, Jazz, Broadway and Regional Theatre genres.
